I just realized how much Blake would have loved this web series. It's got everything he loves: clean comedy, attractive women, God vs. Satan. This is about as close to Blake's ideal of entertainment as I can think of.

Your Milton series will be fantastic!

Most of my casting is done. Actors are excited which makes me excited and we're definitely feeding off each other's enthusiasm. Good, positive energy. I picked up an actress from The Young and the Restless yesterday so I'm actually adding a character for her because I came up with a great "easter egg" throughline that references a movie she's in and it was worth building a character around that.

Now I just have to cast for God. I have an actor in mind and I'm optimistic.

If anyone's interested in providing feedback on a few episodes, please provide me an email address and I'll send a few eps your way. Each episode is under 12 pages. As we're in preproduction and finalizing the cast, I'm no longer making major changes to the story... but I am looking for places I can tighten and trim down, possibly strengthen a set-up or pay off.

Very Happy

Sometimes delays are a blessing in disguise. Milton Shefski didn't get off the ground last year due to casting and schedule conflicts. To be honest, I was really rushing to get it done by December and that just wasn't in the cards. As much as I loved the occasion of the alleged Mayan apocalypse, pushing the web series to 2013 gives us time to really do it right. The rewrite means losing my original setting, but gaining a stronger story.

Also, my dream cast became dreamier. I can't drop names yet but my avatar is a hint.

The new logline:

The night a televangelist has predicted Earth's destruction, a handsome seminary dropout must avoid getting kissed by any of the beautiful women attending an apocalypse party or fulfill a deal with God that may instigate the actual end of the world.

Also, I'm increasing the budget and gamification of Milton Shefski and that's pretty darn fun.

If anyone in addition to Debbie would like to provide feedback on these short scripts, let me know.

January is a busy month as I'm now rewriting this, writing another web series (assignment), a feature (spec), and some PR work for a few actors. It's going to be a great year! Cheers to 2013!

Great! And thank you!

I know I sound like a broken record, but mom's been in the hospital which has set me back. I hope to have scripts out by next week.

Things to keep in mind:
a) Any and all feedback is welcome, though I'm mostly looking for...

b) Objective ways to trim the scripts down by a page or more.

c) This project is mostly cast, so I'm writing for specific actors.
