Yippee!! Y'all, I am so excited for you all to finally get your hands on the new app. As I've been beta testing it, I can tell you all it will, again, revolutionize the way we outline our movies. It does everything you can do with the desktop version... AND you can upload and download to and from the iPhone (and iPod Touch) and the desktop. Holy buckets, it rocks! I have several story ideas in my app right now and, when I can find the time, I'm going to add to them and finish them.

I love this app and I know Blake had to be proud of this achievement. STC will reach a lot more crowds and people with this app and I look forward to seeing how it does in its initial release, Write on, y'all!

Rub it in, why don't you... AT&T is useless where I live (Yes, I live in a snow cave) so no iPhone.

Very excited for you... And a tad jealous. Wink

I entered the software number of my desktop version but it doesn't seem to want to download my screenplays.

Any ideas?

EDITED TO ADD:

Ah, just figured it out. Need to install the new 2.2 version of the STC desktop software as well.

Ok, got it figured out. It's entirely not obvious how the system is supposed to work and is antithetical to normal Apple or iPhone user interface.

The procedure for uploading to the iPhone is unintuitive at best. You have to open the screenplay in the STC desktop software select: Screenplay > Upload for iPhone then the STC desktop software goes through the motions and tell you it's been successfully uploaded, but nothing actually appears on the iPhone until the user then presses the download button.

In my opinion, this should all happen at the File menu on the desktop App and the list screen for the iPhone App. Having uploads and downloads separated and put in different places on both is very confusing.

Additionally, there really does need to be a way to check the desktop serial number once entered.

I'm working on it! I'm working on it! Smile Actually, I went ahead and forked over the $8 and bought Black Mana Studios' Screenplay. Not super intuitive but I can still do a bit of writing when I'm out and about. I hate that you have no clue what page you're on when you write but you can eventually export to FD 8 and it's all gravy after that. I'm writing, dude. I'm writing! I promise! Now, to figure out what to outline and spend the next three years of my life writing. ;P
